Wisconsin Black Assembly members used to Deregulate Hair braiding from Natural Hair Care
It’s your girl Denise on coming to speak to you today about the Wisconsin Assembly overwhelmingly approving Hair Braiding without a #barber or #cosmetology license.
This article speaks to the black community and says that the black community has been pushing for #deregulation for her braiding for years.
It also states that 30 states exempt Hair Braiding from #occupationallicensure in which is State licensure.
Representative Sheila Stubbs and Senator Latonya Johnson are #Black they’re saying that the deregulation of #hairbraiding will put more female entrepreneurs in the practice of hair braiding jobs for people of color not just black people.
They’re also stating that hair braiders do not use heat or chemicals which I totally disagree with because we know that they use heat (curling irons). It’s my perspective that they are clearly separating the two Hair Braiding from Natual Hair Care.
